Proudly a Motor Sport Australia Affiliated Club

The Oldest Off Road Club in North Queensland

Formerly known as Townsville Motorsport Club and Townsville Off Road Club

Prior to 2000 the Club was known as Townsville Motorsports Club based in Townsville and had a number of tracks in the North Queensland area including Leichardt Creek Farm, Black River, Talbot Park, Charters Towers Airport, Charters Towers Motorcross Track. But were always moving and could not a get a place that could be called Home.

In 2000 the Club changed its name to Townsville Off Road Club for a couple years and then to what it is today North Queensland Offroad Racing Association Inc and the North Queensland Super Series was born with Charters Towers Off Road Club, Moranbah Off Road Club, Dysart Off Roaders, Hughenden Off Road Club, Julia Creek Off Road Club all being involved in the series.

The Club was approached to help the Burdekin Offroaders come out of moth balls and join the Series, where the Club started to take on a more of a training role for Officials helping run there Events for the next 18 years. Slowly the Club built their Officials base to quite a healthy number who to date participate in running Super Car Events over the Country.

The Club has been a foundation Member of the Drive It Complex situated near Woodstock and North Queensland Motor Sport Complex in Charters Towers since their conceptions, but the Club finally decided to progress with the later and call it Home. With Rally, Remote Control Cars, Dirt Drags, Burn Out and Racing Mower Clubs all being part of what is now known as the Millchester Motor Sport Facility it is quickly becoming a great Facility where Competitors both Junior and Senior can compete in a safe environment.

With all the Clubs helping build the Facility bigger and better the future is looking great !
